ストロベリーアイス strawberry ice

今日は朝から暑いです。
このバラを見るとアイスクリームを連想し、食べたくなるバラの花です。
背景左上の赤い花はカクテルです。アイスクリームもカクテルも、どちらも私の好物です。

It has been hot since the morning today.
This rose reminds me of ice cream, so I feel I want to eat this flower.
We can see red flowers at the upper left of this photo, the flower's name is Cocktail. Both ice cream and cocktail are my favorite foods.

昨晩は台風の影響で風雨が強かったのですが、幸運にもバラに特段の被害はありませんでした。

綺麗な花には棘がある。
明るい光により生じたフレアが、この写真を幾分面白いものにしました。

There was a heavy rain because of the typhoon last night. Fortunately, every flower was not damaged from that storm.

Every rose has its thorn.
Flare which was caused by a very bright light made this photo somewhat interesting.

プリンセスミチコ Princess Michiko

このバラは、イギリスのある会社から、当時皇太子妃だった皇后美智子へ送られたバラです。
この庭園では、とても人気があるバラです。花それ自体も素晴らしいですが、皇后美智子様のお人柄でもあるようです。

This rose was presented to Empress Michiko from an English company.
This rose is liked by everybody in this garden.The flower is splendid it self, but it seems that the popularity comes from Empress's personality also.

カトリーヌ・ドヌーヴ Catherine Deneuve

カトリーヌ・ドヌーヴという名前のバラを見つけました。でも、まだ蕾です。
バラの花に、自分の名前が付つくなんて、随分名誉な事だと思います。

I found roses named Catherine Deneuve in a garden. But the flowers are still in bud.
It must be a great honor for her, the gardener gave the flower her name.

凧揚げ大会 a kite festival

こどもの日には、凧揚げ大会が開かれるのを思い出しました。
写真は数年前に撮影したものです。

I recalled that a kite festival held at Edogawa river bank in Children's Day.
