瞑想するカエル meditating frog
身動ぎしないカエルは瞑想しているようにみえました。一方、撮影する私は、スズメバチに威嚇され、緊張を強いられました。

赤色再現 red color reproducibility
赤色の花を撮る度に、こんな色ではないとがっかりします。
デジカメは、著しい進歩をとげましたが、赤色とか紫色の再現は今だに厳しいです。
Whenever I took a picture of a red flower, I was disappointed that my camera reproduced a poor red color. It is not such a color.
The digital camera accomplished remarkable progress, but it is still severe to reproduce red and purple color.

芽吹く bud
柿の苗木がどんどん芽吹いてきました。実がなるまで、後6,7年かかると思います。おいしい実がなるのでしょうか。

山百合 gold-banded lily
切通しの道を走っていたら、土手に咲くヤマユリのシベが印象に残りました。引き返して撮った写真です。

モダンローズ modern rose
大輪の八重、四季咲きの「ラ・フランス」は、モダンローズのルーツです。
この苗は、少し生育が悪いようです。肥料をもっとやった方がよいかも知れません。
'La France' is the origin of the modern rose. This perpetual rose has large double flowers.
The growth of this rose seem to be not so good. I suppose this rose requires more fertilizer.

サルスベリ（猿滑） Crape myrtle
サルスベリの花が咲き始めました。長く咲くのでしばらく楽しめます。
幹の表面がすべすべしているので、日本名は '猿滑' とも書きますが、猿はものともせず登っていきます。

ヤモリ gecko
毎年夏になると現れる、我が家に住み着いたヤモリです。今年は、昨晩はじめてその姿を見せました。ガラスを隔てての対面です。
左下の怪しい黒い影は私です。ライトは私の背後から当てています。

花壇にまだ2,3のビヨウヤナギが咲いていのを見つけました。長い雄蕊が多数あるのが印象的です。

ツミ Japanese sparrowhawk
大砲のような大きなレンズがついたカメラが据え付けられているので、近くに行ってみると、小型の猛禽類ツミを撮影している人がいました。背面の液晶を見せてもらうと、巣から3匹の雛が顔を出していました。超望遠レンズを所有していないので、私の写真では何がなんだか分かりません。

When I went near the camera, someone was photographing small Raptors which was called "Japanese sparrowhawk". When I looked at the back liquid crystal of the camera, I could see three fledgling on the nest. Because I don't own a super telephoto lens, my camera can not tell what is what.
It is my joy that I can coexist with a wild animal.

テッポウユリ Easter lily
日本語の名前は、その形が似ているのでラッパ銃に由来します。先の開いた銃身だと玉がどこへ飛んで行くのか分からないと思いますが、その分、弾と火薬を先端から詰め込みやすいそうです。

モンゴメリー montgomery
モンゴメリーは、深い紫色のアジサイです。深い色の再現が難しいので、トライブラシ処理をかけてみました。多少、見た目に近くなりました。
Montgomery is a deep purple hydrangea. Because the dark color did not appear on the photograph, I put drybrush processing on it. It became a little near visually.

七夕(tanabata) star festival
天帝は、天の川を挟んでアルタイルとヴェガを引き離しました。しかし、彼らは7月7日にだけ会うことができます。私たちは、この日に七夕祭りを開き、二人の再会を祝います。短冊に願いを書いて竹に吊るすと、その願いが叶うと言われています。
The king separated Altair and Vega by the Milky Way. However, they can meet only on July 7. We hold the star festival on this day and celebrate their reunion. We write wishes on the strip of paper and display it on the bamboo, then it is said that the wishes come true.
We call this festival "Tanabata".
