地面を覆う大量の銀杏の実が落ちています。歩けばパリパリと音がします。実りの季節はとうに過ぎているので、もう食用にはなりません。

普賢象(フゲンゾウ) fugenzou
普賢象は八重咲きの桜です。雄しべが像の鼻に似ているので象という名前が付きました。動物の名前が着いている桜は他にないと思います。

新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴いマスク不足が続いています。
開店休業の我が家は、マスク工房に変身しました。日頃お世話になっている方へ、洗濯できるマスクをお送りしています。頑張って、日産50枚ですが、ゴムの入手が難しくなってきました。
マスクには、平型、プリーツ型、立体型と色々な形がありますが、比べてみると、私には立体型が一番違和感なく使用できます。

花に似合わず、無骨な根です。このような庭だと問題ありませんが、歩道の表面をもり上げたりするので、敬遠されることもあります。相応しい環境を与えてあげたいですね。

廃屋の庭にニワトコの花がひっそり咲いていました。
ニワトコは、魔除けの効果があるとか、インフルエンザに効くとか聞きますが、普通の木と変わりはないように見えます。
