ダイモンジソウ Saxifraga fortuneii var. alpina

沈黙の秋 silent autumn
秋バラがちらほらしか咲いていません。せっかく膨らんだ蕾も、そのいくつかは、剪定されてしまいます。多分、樹勢が弱っているので、今は回復の期間なのでしょう。来春に期待します。
The rose does not bloom as usual in this autumn. Some of much-awaited buds are also pruned. Probably it will be a period of the recovery now because growing power of a tree has weakened. I expect it in the next spring.

バラ撮り専用カメラ dedicated camera for roses
デジタルカメラは随分進化しました。でも、相変わらず赤色の撮影になると、どのカメラも意気地なしです。一向に改善されません。これは、センサーのカラーフィルターが「RGGB」配列のものを使い続けているからです。
万能で無くてもよいので、気楽に赤色を撮影できるカメラが開発されることを願います。

ショッキングブルーの香り Sent of a Shocking Blue
バラの花ショッキングブルーは、強い香りがあるといわれていますが、このバラ園の苗の香りは、それほど強いとは思えません。でも、レモンの気配を感じる甘い香りがします。

このダリアは、皇帝ダリアと園芸品種のダリアとの交配で作られた新しい品種です。皇帝ダリアからは、耐寒性をもらい、花の色と形は園芸品種のダリアから受け継ぎました。

つる・マリア・カラス Cl.Maria Callas
このバラ園には、人の名前がつけられたバラが幾つかあります。
マリア・カラスは、バリアの向こうに咲いているので、その香りを嗅ぐことができません。クイーン・エリザベス、カトリーヌ・ドヌーブ、ビクトル・ユーゴなども同様に、近づけない場所に植えられています。このバラ園では、プリンセス・ミチコとシャルル・ドゴールの二つが香りを楽しめるバラです。
今日は雨が降っているので、誰もいないと思って出かけましたが、すでにバラの写真を撮っている人がひとりいました。

Queen Elizabeth, Catherine Deneuve, Victor Hugo were planted in the place where we cannot approach also. In this rose garden, we can enjoy two fragrances of princess Michiko and Charles de Gaulle.

香りの分類 classification of fragrance
バラの香りは、7つに大別されると聞きました。どのような手法で分類したのでしょう。科学的に成分分析したのか、嗅ぎ分けたのかは知りませんが、難しかったと思います。香りを表現することでさえ難しいのに、よく分類できたと思います。
I heard that fragrances of roses were classified into seven. I don't know whether the researcher scented it out or analyzed ingredients, but I think that they had a hard time to classify the fragrance. Though it is difficult even to express a fragrance, I think they made a great achievement.

少し早かった a little bit too early
今日はいつも行くバラ園で、ローズフェスティバルが開催されました。でも、バラの開花が見込みより遅く、満開は一週間程先になりそうです。
今日は早朝に出かけ、バラの香りを楽しみました。秋のバラは10時前後が一番香り高く、春は8時前後だそうです。

農村歌舞伎 farmer's Kabuki
地元で農村歌舞伎が行われること知りました。農村歌舞伎は、素人が上演する歌舞伎です。歌舞伎を見るのは、今回始めてで、おひねりを投げる光景が私には新鮮でした。年配の方が多く来られており、おひねりを投げても半分くらいしか届きませんでした。

The view of the audiences throwing wrapped offering of money was fresh image to me. Most audience is aged people, so about half of wrapped offering didn't arrive at the stage.

羽衣一輪 single Hagoromo
羽衣は、日本で作出されたバラです。
羽衣と聞くと、羽衣伝説が思い出されます。
そんなイメージで一輪咲きました。

Hagoromo is a legendary robe for a celestial maiden to fly around in the air.
The fisherman was worried about that if he returns her robe to her, she doesn't keep a promise.
She said to a fisherman, “Lies and deceit are human creations. They don't exist in Heaven.”
A single 'Hagoromo' rose has bloomed in such an image.

コスモス cosmos
台風が近づいてきています。
ゆれるコスモスを撮りたかったのですが、快晴のためシャッタースピードが早くなり、コスモスはピッタリ止まってしまいました。

I wanted to take a photo of cosmos shaken with breeze, but because it was fine today, so the exposure time became too short, and the cosmos had just stopped.

虫ゴム valve rubber
自転車がパンクしました。虫ゴムを調べて見ると、ゴムが変質していました。虫ゴムを新品に変えると、空気が抜けなくなったので、チューブに問題はありません。
虫ゴムの寿命は1年だそうです。これからは、1年をめどに交換しようと思います。電車に乗り遅れたくないですから。
My bicycle had got a flat tire. Checking a valve rubber, I found the rubber changed in quality. After it was replaced with a new one, the air of the tire did not loose. The rubber tube did not have the problem.
They say the life of the valve rubber is about one year. From now on, I'll replace it annually. I do not want to miss the train.

流鏑馬 Yabusame
昨日、流鏑馬が催されたので見てきました。馬が疾走するなか、矢が的を射る音がとても心地よく響きました。
Yabusame is a kind of Japanese traditional martial arts. An archer on a running horse shoots tiny wooden target. These days Yabusame is performed in some local areas in Japan as a Shinto ritual.
I watched Yabusame in my area yesterday. While a horse ran at breakneck speed, the sound that an arrow shot the mark was very comfortable.

ホトトギス toad lily
ホトトギスは、本来鳥につけられた名前です。この植物に同じ名前が付けられた理由は、花の斑点模様が「鳥のホトトギス」の胸毛の斑点模様に似ているからだそうです。鳥の写真を見ると、胸毛には斑点というより縞模様があるように私には見えました。

The reason why this plant has the same name seems to be that the spot pattern of this flower resembles a spot pattern of the hair on the chest of the gray-headed cuckoo. Watching the photograph of the gray-headed cuckoo, I saw a stripe pattern rather than a spot on the bird's chest.

ヤブラン Liriope muscari
庭にヤブランの花が咲きました。葉の縁が黄色で縁取られており、花が咲かない時期ても見応えがあります。
