ロウバイ wintersweet

ロウバイの園芸品種であるソシンロウバイは、花びらがすべて黄色一色です。一方、ロウバイは内側の花びらが赤茶色をしています。
どちらも、花の盛りが過ぎて終わりに近づくと花脈に沿って黒い線があらわれます。

All petals of Chimonanthus Praecox, cultivated variety of wintersweet, are yellow. On the other hand, a wintersweet has reddish brown color petals inside.
After the prime time, black lines appear along the veins of both flowers.

冬の芙蓉 cotton rose in winter

冬の景色によく似合う、芙蓉のさく果です。

ヤマコウバシ Lindera glauca

葉が枯れても散らない珍しい木です。枯れ葉の間には冬芽が育っています。
葉が散らないといっても、落葉広葉樹の枯れ葉ですから、春には落葉します。

It is strange that this tree does not scatter even dead leaves. Winter buds have been growing among the dead leaves.
