今年は、白色のムスカリを見かけません。

スノーフレーク summer snowflake

書きかけて、スノードロップとスノーフレークとを混同していることに、気が付きました。過去ログを調べたところ、誤りは無いようですが、もう一度しっかり調べてみようと思います。

桜の根 cherry tree root

花に似合わず、無骨な根です。このような庭だと問題ありませんが、歩道の表面をもり上げたりするので、敬遠されることもあります。相応しい環境を与えてあげたいですね。

These are boorish roots that do not suit flowers. There is no problem in a garden like this, but it can be unfavorable because they sometimes lift the surface of the sidewalk. I want to give cherry trees a desirable environment.

ニワトコ elderberry

廃屋の庭にニワトコの花がひっそり咲いていました。
ニワトコは、魔除けの効果があるとか、インフルエンザに効くとか聞きますが、普通の木と変わりはないように見えます。

Elderberry flowers quietly bloomed in the garden of the abandoned house.
Although elderberry is said to be effective for amulets and flu, it looks like a normal tree to me.

オキザリス oxalis

オギザリスは品種によっては、随分特徴が異なります。日が差さないと花が閉じますが、それもまた愛らしいすがたです。

The characteristics of oxalis are quite different depending on varieties. The flower closes itself when it doesn't get a lot of sun, but it is also adorable.

バルボコディウム bulbocodium

日本では、あまり見かけませんが、ヨーロッパ南西部や北アフリカに広く分布するスイセンの原種です。

Although we don't see this flower in Japan, it is a narcissus original species widely distributed in southwestern Europe and northern Africa.

まだ美しい still beautiful

人間は、莫大な数の細胞でできています。この人間もいつかは死ぬわけですが、全部の細胞が一瞬に死ぬわけではありません。流れのなかで消滅していきます。地面に落ちた椿を見ていると、そんなことに思いいたります。
