金糸梅(キンシバイ) Hypericum patulum
花の形が梅ににて、雄しべが細長く、黄色であることが、名前の由来です。美容柳(ビヨウヤナギ)の花によく似ています。

ブラシの木 bottlebrush
名前の通り、花はボトルを洗うブラシそっくりです。写真で分かりますが、この木は花の先から枝をのばす不思議な木です。
As the name suggests, the flower is similar to a brush for bottle cleaning. As you can see in this photo, bottlebrush trees are strange, they extend a branch from the tip of each flower.

雪の下(ユキノシタ) strawberry geranium
以前、ユキノシタを庭に植えたのですが、雑草と間違えられて抜かれてしまいました。名札を立てておかないといけませんね。

八重咲きドクダミ double-flowered Houttuynia cordata
廃屋の日当たりの悪い玄関先に、八重咲きドクダミが咲いていました。
花弁に見える白い部分は実は葉で、シベに見える先端の黄色い部分が花です。ちょっと意外ですね。
A double-flowered Houttuynia cordata was blooming at the entrance where the sun did not shine of the abandoned house.
The white things that look like petals are leaves actually, and yellow parts of the tip that look like stamen are flowers. It is slightly surprising.
こちらは普通に見られるドクダミです。白い葉の数は、普通は4枚ですがこれには6枚あります。

立葵 (タチアオイ) hollyhock
花に近づいて見ると、雄しべが花弁化しているのが分かります。萼や葉も花弁化する植物も見られますが、なぜだかわかりません。昆虫をより引き付けるためなのでしょうか。
If you look closer to this flower, you can see that the stamens have become petals. There are some plants whose calyxes and leaves have become petals, but I don't know why. I wonder if it attracts more insects.
