藪萱草(ヤブカンゾウ) daylily

　ヤブカンゾウは、中国原産のユリ科の植物です。私には、ちょっと重い感じの花です。私のために咲いているわけではないことは、十分承知しています。

　The daylily is a plant of the Lily family native to China. It feels a little heavy to me. However, I fully understand that it's not blooming for me.

薮茗荷(ヤブミョウガ) pollia

　沢山の小さな白い花が、茎の上部に段々状になって咲いています。

　Many small white flowers are blooming in a few stages on the upper part of the stalk.

竹 bamboo

　小さな流れのそばで、しなやかに伸びるこの竹の種類は女竹ではないかと思います。

　I think this bamboo is Simon bamboo because it is growing by a brook and bends lithely.

塩辛蜻蛉(シオカラトンボ) common skimmer

　雄と雌で体の色が大きく異るトンボです。写真はオスでシオカラトンボと呼ばれます。メスは黄色を基調とした体色で、ムギワラトンボと呼ばれます。

　This is a dragonfly with a body color that differs greatly between males and females. The photo is male and is called "shiokara-dragonfly" in Japanese. "Shiokara" means salted fish guts, because old male body is dredged with gray powder like salt. Females have a yellow-based body and are called "mugiwara-dragonfly". "Mugiwara" means straw.

姫檜扇水仙(ヒメヒオウギズイセン) crocosmia

　ヒメヒオウギズイセンは、生命力が強く世界中に野生化して分布しています。小川のそばや湿気の多い場所で見つけることができます。

　Crocosmia has strong vital power and is distributed as a wild plant all over the world. It can be found beside streams and in damp areas.

 

アルストロメリア lily of the Incas

　しばらく前から通り道に咲いていました。いつも先を急ぐので撮影は延び延びになっていました。開花期間は長いようです。

　I noticed that it was blooming on the usual path a few weeks ago. As I was always in a hurry, the shooting had been postponed. It looks like a long flowering period.

ホソバウンラン yellow toadflax

　見かけによらず丈夫で繁殖力が強く、年々コロニーを増やしています。

　It is fertile despite of appearance, and the area of its colony is increasing year after year.
