ドレスデン Dresden

ドレスデンの咲き方は神経質なのですが、今回は剣弁高芯咲きの特徴が出た咲き方をしました。

I'm always nervous about how Dresden blooms, but this time the petals bloomed sharply like a sword.

ストロベリーアイス Strawberry Ice

　花弁を縁取りするピンクは、日差しが強いと濃い色になり、弱いと淡くなるそうです。

　It is said that the pink border of the petals becomes deeper when the sunlight is strong, and paler when the sunlight is weak.

四季咲き ever-flowering

　蔓性のバラには、四季咲きのものがないことを、教えていただきました。また、一季咲きのつる性のバラは、冬の間低温にさらさないと、春になっても開花しないそうです。

　Someone taught me there are no perpetual varieties of vine roses. In addition, it is said that vine roses that bloom only in one season will not bloom even in spring unless they are exposed to low temperatures in the winter.

アイスバーグ iceberg

　アイスバーグと言えば、タイタニック号が氷山に衝突した痛ましい遭難を思い出します。

　氷山の形状は、北極域ではピラミッド型のものが多く、南極海域では、卓状型が多いそうです。氷河からか、棚氷からか、生まれる違いによるのでしょう。

　Speaking of icebergs, I remember the marine accident of the Titanic crashing into the iceberg.

　They say the shape of icebergs is often pyramid-shaped in the Arctic region and table-shaped in the Antarctic waters. It seems that it depends on whether it is born from a glacier or an ice shelf.

沈黙の秋 Silent Autumn

　ジャルダンドゥフランスは、咲き乱れる多花性にバラですが、チラホラとしか咲いていません。アンジェラやカクテルの多花性の品種も、例年に比べ花の数が激減しています。気候不順が原因でしょうか。地球温暖化が影響していることが懸念されます。

　Jardin de France is a rose with many flowers, but it has bloomed a little. Angela and cocktails which will bloom with many flowers also have decreased flowering dramatically compared to the average year. It may be due to unusual weather. I am worried that global warming may be the cause of these things.

コスモス cosmos

　明るい雰囲気のコスモス畑ですが、視点を下げて雲間から日が差す空を背景に、コスモスを見上げると、ちょっと怪しげな雰囲気が漂ってきました。

　This is a bright cosmos field, but looking up at the cosmos from below against the backdrop of the sky shining through the clouds makes me feel a little suspicious atmosphere.

マダムバタフライ Mme. Butterfly

　マダムバタフライ (バラですよ) は、香りが強いと聞きますが、この花は余り香りが強くありません。私の嗅覚が弱っているのかも知れません。

　They say that Mme. Butterfly (rose) has strong scent, but this flower is not so strong. Perhaps my sense of smell is faint.
