大蔓穂(オオツルボ) Cuban lily

　中央の蕾の塊に生命力の強さを感じます。

　I feel the strength of vitality in the cluster of buds in the center.

里桜(サトザクラ) Satozakura

　八重咲きのサトザクラは遅咲きです。

　一重咲きの桜の花びらは5弁、６弁より多い花は八重咲き、およそ100枚を超える場合は菊咲きと呼びます。

　葉は、柔らかそうなので塩漬けにしたくなりましたが、公園の桜なのでそうもいきません。

　Double-flowered Satozakura is late-blooming. 

　The single-flowered cherry blossoms have  five petals, the flowers with more than six-petals are called double-flowered blossoms, and when the number exceeds about 100, they are called chrysanthemum-bloomed, 菊咲: kiku-zaki.

　I wanted to salt the leaves because they look soft, but I can't because the tree belongs to the park.

アゲハチョウ Swallowtail butterfly

　我が家を訪れたアゲハチョウです。羽に傷んだ部分がないアゲハチョウを見ることは、あまりないことです。

　It is a swallowtail butterfly that visited my garden. It's unusual to see a swallowtail butterfly with complete wings.

花梨(カリン) Chinese quince

　樹皮は、緑色と茶褐色のまだら模様で、所々剥がれ落ちており、幹には特徴があります。

　Trunk of Chinese quince has a unique feature, the bark has a mottled pattern of green and brown, and peeling in places.

普賢象(フケンゾウ) fukenzou-zakura

　八重咲きの桜です。フケンゾウは、花から突き出る雌しべが、象の鼻に似ているのですが、これは蕾なので、その特徴を見ることができません。

　It is a double-flowered cherry blossom. It's pistil protruding from the flower resembles an elephant's nose, but since it is a bud, you can't see the characteristics.

ジューンベリー juneberry

　葉が出る前に五弁の白い小さな花が、木を覆い尽くすほどたくさん咲きます。

　Before the leaves come out, many little white flowers with five petals bloom enough to cover the tree.

石楠花(シャクナゲ) rhododendron

　華やかなシャクナゲの花は、薄ぼんやりと暗いなかで見るのもまたよいのですが、写真でその雰囲気を撮るのは難しいですね。

　It is also good to see the gorgeous rhododendron flowers in the dim light, but it is difficult to shot the atmosphere with a camera.
