熱い海 sea is hot

イギリス海軍の新鋭駆逐艦6隻が、ペルシャ湾を航行中に繰り返し電力を失うトラブルにみまわれました。原因は、高い海水温によるものです。ペルシャ湾の海水温は、32度にも達するそうです。

日本を取り巻く海の温度も、今年は例年になく高くなる様子で、異常気象が心配されます。

Six British naval destroyers have repeatedly experienced power outages at the Persian Gulf.The cause is a high temperature of seawater. Waters in the Persian Gulf can get as hot as 90 degrees F.

The seawater temperature around Japan is expected to rise from an average year, so we will have unusual weather this summer.

ラフランス La France (rose)

モダンローズの元祖、ラフランスです。大輪と聞きますが、ここでは花の大きさがせいぜい5cm位です。茎が細いせいか、直ぐに下を向いてしまいます。

This is the original of modern Rose. I hear that it blooms a large flower, but the size of the flower is not more than around 5cm in this garden. A stem is thin, so it inclines to turn to the bottom.

カシワバアジサイ Hydrangea quercifolia

八重咲きは、スノーフレーク、一重はスノークイーンです。
スノーフレークと言えば、鈴蘭に似た彼岸花科に分類される花の方が、よく知られています。

A "Snowflake" has double flowers and a "Snow Queen" has a single flower.
As for a Snowflake, the flower is well known which resembles a lily of the valley and is classified into a cluster amaryllis family.

アジサイの季節 Season of the hydrangea

今年は雨が少ない状況ですが、アジサイは例年通り咲き始めました。

We have less rain than usual, but the hydrangea has begun to bloom as usual.

つるバラ climbing rose

つるバラは枝を上に伸ばすと先端にしか花が咲かないので、横に這わせて脇芽を上に伸ばしてやるのが、たくさん咲かせるコツと教えて頂きました。

When the branch of a climbing rose extends straight upward, flowers bloom only on the top. If you train a branch to horizontal, it extends side bud upward, so you can make many flowers. I was told by the cultivator that  this method was the secret to make a lot of flowers.

アゲハチョウ swallowtail butterfly

羽化したばかりのアゲハチョウを庭で見つけました。近づいても動かないので安心して撮影を始めるも、それもつかの間、ひらひらと飛び去りました。

I found a swallowtail butterfly which just emerged in my garden. I began to photograph it in peace because it did not move when I approached it, but it flew away feebly a little later.

色合いの変化 change of the tint

このようにピンクに色づいたドレスデンは初めて見ます。スイートアフトンも同様に今シーズンは、ピンクがいつもより濃くでました。

I watched 'Dresden' which had pink color in this way for the first time. Rose 'Sweet afton' also had dense pinkness in this season.
