ヤモリ gecko

毎年夏になると現れる、我が家に住み着いたヤモリです。今年は、昨晩はじめてその姿を見せました。ガラスを隔てての対面です。
左下の怪しい黒い影は私です。ライトは私の背後から当てています。

It is the gekko which settled down in my house which appears in summer every year. In this year, it appeared for the first time at last night. It is a meeting across a glass.
The left lower suspect black shadow is me. I put a light from my rear.

キュウリの巻きひげ cirrus of a cucumber

巻きひげは何かに巻き付いた後、風にゆすられてもちぎれないようにするため、途中にスプリングを作ります。

A cirrus make a coil spring in the middle of itself to prevent tearing off, even if it is shaken by wind after having coiled around something.

ビヨウヤナギ Hypericum monogynum

花壇にまだ2,3のビヨウヤナギが咲いていのを見つけました。長い雄蕊が多数あるのが印象的です。

I found that two or three Hypericum monogynum were still blooming in the flower bed. It is impressive that this flower has a lot of long stamens.

ツミ Japanese sparrowhawk

大砲のような大きなレンズがついたカメラが据え付けられているので、近くに行ってみると、小型の猛禽類ツミを撮影している人がいました。背面の液晶を見せてもらうと、巣から3匹の雛が顔を出していました。超望遠レンズを所有していないので、私の写真では何がなんだか分かりません。


I found the camera with a big lens such as the cannon from a distance.
When I went near the camera, someone was photographing small Raptors which was called "Japanese sparrowhawk". When I looked at the back liquid crystal of the camera, I could see three fledgling on the nest.  Because I don't own a super telephoto lens, my camera can not tell what is what.
It is my joy that I can coexist with a wild animal.

テッポウユリ Easter lily

日本語の名前は、その形が似ているのでラッパ銃に由来します。先の開いた銃身だと玉がどこへ飛んで行くのか分からないと思いますが、その分、弾と火薬を先端から詰め込みやすいそうです。

The etymology of the Japanese name of the flower is the trumpet gun, because the form resembles it.
In the case of the tip of barrel spread, I think that it is not predictable where a bullet flies to, but it seems to be easy to load the barrel with a bullet and gunpowder.

モンゴメリー montgomery

モンゴメリーは、深い紫色のアジサイです。深い色の再現が難しいので、トライブラシ処理をかけてみました。多少、見た目に近くなりました。

Montgomery is a deep purple hydrangea. Because the dark color did not appear on the photograph, I put drybrush processing on it. It became a little near visually.
