モダンローズ modern rose

大輪の八重、四季咲きの「ラ・フランス」は、モダンローズのルーツです。
この苗は、少し生育が悪いようです。肥料をもっとやった方がよいかも知れません。

'La France' is the origin of the modern rose. This perpetual rose has large double flowers.
The growth of this rose seem to be not so good. I suppose this rose requires more fertilizer.

オニユリ tiger lily

日本名では鬼ユリ、英名では虎ユリ。美しい花ですが、どちらも獰猛な名前がついています。

Japanese name means 'ogre' lily, English name is 'tiger' lily. These are beautiful flowers, but both have intense name.

サルスベリ（猿滑） Crape myrtle

サルスベリの花が咲き始めました。長く咲くのでしばらく楽しめます。
幹の表面がすべすべしているので、日本名は '猿滑' とも書きますが、猿はものともせず登っていきます。

The flower of the crape myrtle has begun to bloom. Because it blooms for a long time, we can enjoy it for a while.
Because the trunk of the tree has smooth surface, the Japanese name means 'monkey slips'. A monkey climbs the tree without any difficulty.
