八重桜 double cherry-blossoms

八重桜は遅咲きの桜であり、八重咲きの桜の総称です。この花は雄しべが一本突き出ているので、「一葉」という名の桜ではないかと思います。

オオツルボ(大蔓穂) cuban lily

すべり台の傍に咲く大蔓穂 (オオツルボ)です。肉厚の葉は、踏まれて傷んでいますが、花は目立つので今のところ無事です。

スノーフレーク summer snowflake

鈴蘭に似た可憐な花ですが、こちらの方が少し大きく、花弁の先にある緑色の斑点が特徴的です。
アジサイの種類にも、スノーフレークがあります。

エノキ Chinese Hackberry

実は、甘くて美味しいそうです。この木に実がなったとしても、この木はとても背が高いので、それには手が届きそうにありません。

この時期、梅、桜、桃と花が続いて咲きますが、どの花もよく似ています。いずれもバラ科に分類される植物です。
