ミカン科の植物だけあって、握りしめた拳の肌は、ミカンのそれに似ています。

キキョウは、東アジアに広く分布する植物ですが、日本では、野生種を見かけることはありません。八重咲きより一重咲きのほうが、より清楚な感じがします。

A balloonflower is a plant widely distributed in East Asia, but in Japan we do not see wild species. A single flower of that looks neater and cleaner than a double flower.

ナツズイセン lycoris squamigera

花が咲く頃には、葉が枯れてもうありません。そのため、ハダカユリと呼ばれることもあります。光合成しなくても栄養は足りるのでしょうか。

By the time the flowers bloom, the leaves are dead and disappeared. So, they are also sometimes referred to as naked ladies. I wonder if the nutrition is sufficient without photosynthesis.

ブッドレア butterfly bush

ブッドレア(Buddrea)とは、日本人にとって奇妙な名前ですが、その由来はイギリスの植物学者バドル(Buddle)に由来します。英名の示すとおり、甘い微香を持ち、蜜もあるので、蝶がよく来ます。

Buddrea is a strange name for Japanese people. The name comes from British botanist Buddle. As the English name suggests, this plant has a sweet smell and honey, so butterflies come often.

好事魔多し clouds follow the sunshine

植え込みの中で、蚊にたくさん刺されました。物事思うようには進みません。
