庭石菖(ニワゼキショウ) Sisyrinchium rosulatum

　ニワゼキショウは、北アメリカ原産のアヤメ科の多年草です。野生化しているので、草むらでよく見かけます。花は直径5mm程度と小さいので、見逃しがちです。花の色は、白と赤紫があり、一緒に咲いていることが多いです。

　Sisyrinchium rosulatum is a perennial plant of the Iridaceae family native to North America. It is a common sight in grassy areas because it has become naturalized. The flowers are easily missed because they are small, measuring around 5mm in diameter. The flowers are white and reddish purple and often bloom together.

クレマチス Clematis

　クレマチスとテッセンの花はよく似ています。分類学では、テッセンはクレマチスの一種ですから、テッセンをクレマチスと呼んでも誤りでないと思います。でも、その逆は正しくないですね。
　写真はクレマチスです。名前はともかくとして、花を楽しみましょう。

　The flowers of Clematis and Tessen are very similar. Taxonomically, Tessen is a member of the clematis group, so I think it can be referred to as clematis. However, the opposite is not accurate.
　The photo shows clematis. Regardless of the name, let's enjoy the flowers.

浅葱斑(アサギマダラ) chestnut tiger

　出掛けに、アサギマダラが草むらで、へたへたになっているのに気が付きました。私には、どうすることもできませんでした。

　I noticed a Chestnut tiger butterfly that was worn out in the weeds while I was leaving my house. I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do.

フリージア Freesia

　フリージアは私にとって、ちょっと縁の薄い植物です。なぜかわかりませんが、あまり身近で咲いたり、あるいは流通する花ではなかったからかも知れません。

　Freesia is a plant that I have a tenuous relationship with. I'm not sure why, but it could be because this flower is not often sold or bloomed in my neighborhood.

銭葵(ゼニアオイ) common mallow

　乾燥させたゼニアオイに熱湯をかけると、ブルー色のハーブティーが作れるそうです。身近に咲く花ですが、私はまだ試したことがありません。

　I heard that you can make blue herbal tea by pouring boiling water over dried common mallow. Although flowers are blooming nearby, I have not taken the opportunity to do so.

常磐満作(トキワマンサク) Loropetalum chinense

　トキワマンサクの葉の色は、緑葉と赤葉の2種類があります。この木は赤葉ですので、花の色がより強調され、ピンク色が満ち溢れました。

　There are two different colors of leaves for Loropetalum chinense: green and red. The red leaves of this tree enhance the color of the flowers, creating a gorgeous pink glow.

紫花菜(ムラサキハナナ) Chinese violet cress

　視界がひらけた先から、紫色が目に飛び込んできました。ムラサキハナナの群生です。

　As the view opened up, the violet color caught my eye. It was a colony of Chinese violet cress.
