Philippines:人間と犬の関係 relation of human being and dogs

町でも観光地でも、あちこちで野良犬を見かけます。人間も野良犬も、お互いに相手を無視しているかのように、振る舞っています。人に吠える犬もいないし、犬をかわいがる人も見かけません。この野良犬たちは、自動車が来れば避けるし、むやみに道路を横切ることもありません。しつけもされていないのに、お利口な犬たちです。

There are many stray dogs here and there in Philippines. The human being nor stray dogs behave as if ignore each other. There is not the dog barking at a person and the person who fondle a dog. If a car comes, these stray dogs avoid it and don't cross the road immoderately. Though the dogs are not trained, it have got the way of living.

Cebu City: 散策 walkabout

市場が如何にもフィリピンを感じる場所です。治安が悪いと聞いていましたが、それほど危ない雰囲気はありません。でも写真を撮っていたら、後ろからこづかれました。振り返るとそれは物乞いです。ここでは、観光客に会うことはありませんでした。
土砂降りの雨の中を、音楽に合わせて踊る子供のたくましさが印象に残りました。

I felt really Philippines at the market. I heard that the market is dangerous place, but there is no such dangerous atmosphere. But I was shoved from behind when I took photographs. It was a beggar when I looked back. I didn't meet any other tourist around the market.
There were the children who were dancing to music in the heavy rain at the market. The sturdy children impressed me.

Cebu: cool sensation

夜明けの便でCebuに戻りました。
風邪をひいたので薬を飲んだところ、強烈な睡魔に襲われて一日中寝てしまいました。疲れためか、現地で購入した薬が強いのか、それとも相乗効果だったのかも。

I came back to Cebu on the early morning flight.
I caught a cold. After I took cold medicines, I can't win against the sleepiness. I slept all day long. Was it result of my fatigue or the medicines which I purchased here in Philippines was strong or synergistic effect?

Kalibo: 再びセブへ back to Cebu

9月はこちらでは雨季にあたり、毎日雨が降ります。スコールと呼ばれる急激な天候変化で、大抵は15分から30分くらい雨が降り、その後晴れます。雨には風や雷を伴うことが多いです。

今日は、生憎ずっと雨が降り続いています。そのため、飛行機は軒並み遅延とキャンセルです。ここカティクラン空港は、雨に弱いので陸路でよカリボ空港へ移動することにします。カリボ空港は滑走路も長く多少の悪天候でも飛行機は飛ぶからです。今日は、セブへ帰るのはあきらめ、カリボで一泊です。

September is the rainy season here, so it rains every day. Mostly the rain is accompanied by wind and thunder. This phenomenon is called squall. After it rained for around 30 minutes from 15 minutes, it is going to be fine.

Unfortunately, it continued to rain all the time today. Therefore there were delays and cancellations on all airplane schedule. They say Caticlan airport is weak in a rain. So I decided to go to Calibo airport by road. Because Calibo Airport has a long runway, and a airplane can fly in even some bad weather condition. I abandoned to go to Cebu and would stay overnight at Calibo today.

Boracay: 島めぐり iland hopping

今日は、島めぐりツアーに参加しました。乗客のほとんどが中国人、次に韓国人で日本人には逢いませんでした。

I participated in a trip around the islands tour today. Most passengers are Chinese, Korean are next, and I did not meet any Japanese.

Boracay: 海と町並み seashore and cityscape

海岸の砂浜は、とても細かな砂でしっとりした感触があります。モンスーンの影響で、風は強く、波は泳ぐには高いです。
海岸と反対側には、フィリピンの町並みが続いています。
夕食をとるため海岸のあるレストランに入りました。閉店時間に近づくと、厨房の人たちが店の前の浜辺に出てきて踊り始めました。お客さんや通行人も次第に加わり、大変盛り上がりました。

The sand of the shore is very small, so I feel quiet touch.
Under the influence of a monsoon, the wind is strong, the wave is high to swim.
Opposite site of the seashore there is a typical Philippine cityscape.
I entered one restaurant of the shore to have dinner. Employees of the kitchen came out to the beach in front of the shop and began to dance when it approached at closing time. Visitors and passersby gradually joined a dance, it got really lively.

Boracay: ボラカイへ to Boracay

ボラカイ島には飛行場がありません。隣の島のCaticlanまで飛行機で行き、そこからはフェリーでボラカイへ向かいます。Caticlanは小さな飛行場なので、プロぺラ機に乗ります。機内で空港からホテルまでの往復チケットを販売しています。これは、明朗会計なので安心です。

There is no airport in the Boracay island. I went by air to Caticlan of the neighboring island and to the Boracay by a ferry from there. Because Caticlan is a small airport, I boarded a propeller airplane. Air carrier sell a round-trip ticket from an airport to a Boracay hotel inside an airplane. This ticket is clear accounting, so I didn't feel stressed.
