六角神輿 a hexagon portable shrine

珍しい六角形の神輿です。今日でお祭りも最終日。3日目で疲れも溜まってきています。500kgを超える神輿を担ぐのは大変です。一旦傾くと中々修正ができません。声援、怒号のなか、頑張って神社に戻ることができました。

This is a rare hexagonal omikoshi (=portable shrine).
It is the last day of the festival, the third day today. Their fatigue seems to increase. It is hard to carry the omikoshi which is more than 500kg weight on their shoulder. Once the omikoshi inclined, they cannot readily set the omikoshi straight. In encouragement and the roar, the omikoshi came back to the shrine with effort.

マダムの蕾 a bud of the madam

これは、薔薇の花、マダムバタフライの蕾です。この薔薇は、すっと長くのびた茎の先に咲きます。

This is a bud of the rose 'Madam butterfly'. This rose blooms in the top of the stem which grew straight.

a festival under a supermoon

昨晩は、スーパームーンの下、地元ではお祭りが開かれました。この毎年恒例のお祭りは、明日まで三日間開催され、1700年台から続いています。

The local festival was held in my hometown under a Supermoon last night. This annual festival is held for three days until tomorrow and dates back to the  1700's.

ドレスデン Dresdene

ドレスデンも咲き始めました。このバラは、開いた花びらが直ぐに傷むので、写真に撮りにくいです。

Rose 'Dresden' has begun to bloom. It is usually hard to take a picture of this rose, because an opened petal goes bad easily.

秋バラ autumn roses

雨もあがり、久しぶりにバラ園に行ってみました。
ウルメールムンスターとサマーメモリーが、数輪咲いていました。これからが楽しみです。

The rain stopped, so I went to the rose garden after a long absence.
A few 'Ulmer Munster' and 'Summer Memories' was blooming. I am looking forward to the near future.

ハギ Japanese bush clover

ハギの花が咲くと、秋が来たなと感じます。
四季の移り変わりは、心を豊かにしてくれます。

When flowers of the Japanese bush clovers bloom, I feel that autumn has come.
The change of the four seasons makes my heart wealthy.

カマキリと見つめ合う catch the eye of a mantis

カマキリの目は複眼です。そして、複眼には瞳がありません。でも、黒い瞳がこちらを見ているように感じます。
複眼は沢山の放射状に並んだパイプ構造からできており、こちらを向いているパイプを通してのみ、底にある黒い眼底を見ることができます。だからこちらを見ているように感じるのでしょう。

Eye of the mantis is a compound eye. A compound eye does not have a pupil. However I felt that two black pupil of the mantis was watching me.
A compound eye is made from many radial pipe-formed structure. I can see the black eye-ground only through the pipe which faces toward me. Therefore I felt that the mantis was gazing at me.
