でも、聞くうちに敬虔な気持ちになった気がします。

She said that to play Bach is to pray.

命はなんとあっけないものでしょう。

宿主が葉を落としたので、ヤドリギが見えるようになりました。

After a host dropped a leaf, a mistletoe emerged. In Japan, we seldom see mistletoe, and we don't deify it.

カエデは、秋の山を彩り豊かにする代表の木です。そのカエデは、24種類も日本に自生しているそうです。

The maple is a representative of the trees which colors the autumn  mountain into various colors. There seem to be 24 kinds of maples growing wild in Japan.

ダイモンジソウ Saxifraga fortuneii var. alpina

この花は、漢字の「大」に見えるので、ダイモンジソウと呼ばれます。花の中心がズレているようにも見える、一風変わったな花です。

This flower is called "Daimonji-sou" in Japan. "Daimonji-sou" means that the grass looks like Chinese character "大(dai)".　It is a unique flower, its center is misaligned.

沈黙の秋 silent autumn

秋バラがちらほらしか咲いていません。せっかく膨らんだ蕾も、そのいくつかは、剪定されてしまいます。多分、樹勢が弱っているので、今は回復の期間なのでしょう。来春に期待します。

The rose does not bloom as usual in this autumn. Some of much-awaited buds are also pruned. Probably it will be a period of the recovery now because growing power of a tree has weakened. I expect it in the next spring.
