空中給油 air refueling

ヘリコプターへの空中給油が、実用化されているとは知りませんでした。
日本のヘリコプターに、この機能は現在ありません。

I did not know that the air refueling to a helicopter was put to practical use.
A Japanese helicopter does not have this function as or now.

The butterfly did not escape even if I approached so close that the front end of my lens touched the butterfly. It seems that the butterfly was sucking honey intently. I took picture intently, too.

ピンクのケイトウ pink cockscomb

花の色には、赤をはじめピンクや黄色、オレンジなどがあるそうです。
散歩の途中で、ピンクのケイトウを始めて見ました。

I heard that there are red, pink, yellow and orange in the color of a flower of cockscomb.
I saw the pink flower for the first time in the middle of walk.

我が家に生息するバッタです。害虫ですが憎めない顔をしています。

It is a grasshopper inhabiting my garden. It is a pest, but has an innocent face.

ツマグロヒョウモン Indian Fritillary

翅を広げた蝶の姿を撮影したいのですが、花にとまっているときは、たまにしか広げてくれません。開いたその瞬間に、シャッターを押してもタイミングが遅れます。

しばらくして、その蝶が地面に降りると、周期的に翅を開いたり閉じたり繰り返し始めました。その周期に合わせて、シャッター押すと、ようやく翅を広げた蝶の姿を撮ることができました。

蝶は地面にとまって吸水すると聞きますが、ここは湿った地面ではありませんでした。

I want to photo the form of the butterfly which opened its wings, but it seldom open the wings on a flower. I release the shutter just then but timing is delayed.

The butterfly land on the ground after a while, and did an open-close movement of the wing regularly. I was able to take the form of the butterfly which opened a wing as a result that I synchronized the release of the shutter with the movement.

I heard that the butterfly stop at the ground and suck water, but here was not the wet ground.
