越冬 overwintering stage

桜の幹の窪みに、集団越冬するヨコズナサシガメです。中国からの外来種でどんどん増え続けています。春になれば脱皮して成虫になります。人も刺すので見つけても触らないようにしましょう。

These insects are "Agriosphodrus dohrni" wintering in a group at the hollow of the trunk of the cherry tree. They are alien species from China and continue increasing steadily. When spring comes, they shed their skin and become the imago. They sting even a person. So don't touch them if you find them.
