椿の丘 camellia hill

これらの木々は椿の木です。なんだか気持ちのよい所です。寝ている人もいました。

All these trees are camellias. Here is a somewhat comfortable place. A man was sleeping on the bench.

The petal of the camellia is easy to be damaged. On the other hand, the wooden part is firm.

マツバギク mesembryanthemum

和名に「菊」が付いていますが、キク科の植物ではありません。葉はサボテンのように厚みがあります。
本来春に咲く花ですが、暖かい日が続いたので、狂い咲きしたようです。

Japanese name contains "chrysanthemum", but it is not chrysanthemum. The leaf has thickness like a cactus.
It is the flower which blooms in spring, but seemed to bloom unseasonably because warm days continued.

思いがけないところに咲いているのを見つけました。日本では、園芸品種の春咲きを多く見かけます。

馬酔木 Japanese andromeda

馬酔木を頂いたので庭に植えました。植え替えにふさわしくない時期ですが、問題なく根付くとよいのですが。

One of my friend gave me a Japanese andromeda, so I planted it in my garden. It is not suitable season to transplantation, but  I hope it roots without a problem.
