クルメツツジのキリンか maybe kirin of kurume-tutuji

小さな花が沢山密集して咲いています。クルメツツジのキリンではないかと思います。

A lot of small flowers crowd and bloom. I think it is a kirin of kurume-tutuji belonging to an azalea.

春はもう終わり spring is almost over

山吹が咲くと、春はもう終わりです。

When Japanese rose blooms fully, spring is almost over.

ハナミズキ flowering dogwood

ハナミズキは、1915年にアメリカ合衆国が、日本に送ったのが起源です。今ではすっかり定着し、街路樹としてよく見かけます。
今年は、例年より花が少ないようです。

It is the beginning that the United States of America sent flowering dogwoods to Japan in 1915. It is completely rooted in Japan now and we often view those trees as street trees.
This season we have less flowers than usual.

オーロラ aurora

この牡丹は、新しい品種のオーロラだと思います。なんだか恥じらいながら咲いているようです。

I think this peony is an aurora of a new kind. It seems to bloom a bit shyly.

黒龍錦 koku-ryuu-nishiki

バラの花と同様に、濃い赤紫色の牡丹も黒と表現されることがあります。

"黒 (kuro, or koku)" of the first letter of this title means black of color.
The peony of a deep purple color will be expressed with black just like as roses.

牡丹鍋 botannabe

イノシシの肉を用いた鍋料理を牡丹鍋といいます。猪肉を薄切りにし、牡丹の花に似せて皿に盛りつけるので牡丹鍋と呼ばれます。

"Botannabe"  (wild boar stew) means food served in a pot using the thin sliced meat of the wild boar. The meat is arranged in a bowl as like as petals of peony, so it is called "Botannabe". In Japanese, a peony is called "botan" and a bowl is called "nabe".
