オクラ okra

去年は庭で育てましたが、日本では越冬できません。
果実は美味しいおかずになるので、来年は育てようと思います。

I cultivated okra last year in my garden, but it cannot pass the winter in Japan.
I will bring it up next year because the fruit is good for accompanying dish.

アオツヅラフジ cocculus trilobus

花は今ひとつですが、果実には雰囲気があります。

The flower is not good enough, but the appearance of the fruit has a good atmosphere.

仙人草のヒゲ barbs of sweet-autumn-clematis

実から放射状に伸びるヒゲが、回転体を思わせる曲線を描いています。

富士山が見えない Mt.Fuji can't be seen

天気予報は快晴でしたが、雲が多く富士山を見ることができませんでした。

The weather forecast said it would be fair all day, but we were not able to see Mt.Fuji because there is much cloud.

クサギの実 fruit of harlequin glory bower

実の青色と萼の赤色の違いが目を引きます。
クサギは、時期によりいろいろな形態を楽しむことができます。でも、樹形があまりよくないため、庭に植えられることはないようです。

The contrast of the blue of fruit and the red of the calyx is outstanding.
We can enjoy various forms of harlequin glory bower as time goes on. But because the shape of the tree is not so good, it would not be planted in the garden.

ツリフネソウ touch me not

花の後方が渦巻き状になっています。そこには甘い蜜が入っているそうです。

The rear part of the flower curls up, and they say that there is flower nectar there.
