綿毛 blowball

子供の頃、息を吹きかけて綿毛を飛ばしてよく遊んだものです。それも綿毛が完全な球状で残っているの選んで。

When I was a child, I used to play blowing away fluffs. I especially chose a perfect ball-shaped blowball.

ハナズオウ Chinese redbud

赤紫色の沢山の小さな花が、塊となって枝に密着しているさまは、ひときわ目を引きます。

Many purple-red small flowers gathered on branches are outstanding.

ヤマブキ Japanese kerria

見慣れたためか、あまりヤマブキに関心がないのですが、沢山咲いているのを見るのはやはりよいものです。

I have not interest in Japanese kerria so much, probably because it is familiar to me. But it is delightful to see a lot of flowers blooming.

遅咲きの桜 late-bloom cherry blossoms

大阪の造幣局は、桜の名所といわれていますが、その桜の多くは、遅咲きの八重桜だそうです。写真の桜は、東京で撮影しました。

The Mint Bureau in Osaka is said to be a famous spot for cherry blossom viewing, and many trees are late-flowering double cherry blossoms. The cherry blossom in this photo was taken in Tokyo.

春の例大祭 spring grand festival

我が家の近くで、立派なお祭りが開かれているとは、知りませんでした。このような山車が13台も参加していました。この写真の山車には立派な彫刻があしらわれています。昔は、それぞれの山車の上に、写真のような彫刻された人形が飾られていたそうです。その後、電線が張られるようになり、明治時代には降ろされ、地上展示に替わりました。
電線の地下化が進み、いつの日か、人形が山車の上に乗るとよいのですが。

I have not known that the spectacular festival have been holding near my house. Thirteen parade floats participated in this festival. The parade float in this photo was decorated with splendid sculptures. In the old days, they say that the sculpted doll(s) like this photo displayed on the top of each parade float. After that, electric cables was laid in the air, so the doll was  detached from the parade float and displayed on the ground.
I hope the wire is buried underground and someday the doll will ride on the parade float again.

ムラサキハナナ Murasakihanana

ムラサキハナナや、オオアラセイトウ、ショカツサイ、ハナダイコンなどと、いろいろな名前で呼ばれている花です。それは、どこにでも身近に咲く花だからなのでしょう。

This flower is called by various names such as Murasakihanana,Ooaraseitou, Syokatsusai and hanadaikonn. It will be because that the flowers are blooming close to us everywhere.

レースラベンダー lace lavender

香りのないラベンダーです。
薄暗かったのですが、なんとか写真に写すことができました。

This lavender does not have fragrance.
It was so dim, but I take a photograph of it somehow.
