山吹の実 Japanese kerria fruit

黒くなった山吹の実です。赤い背景は、ブルーベリーの葉です。
一重咲きの山吹には実が成りますが、八重咲きは実が成りません。それは雄しべが花弁に変化しているからです。

These are Japanese kerria fruits which have become black. Red color background is blueberry leaves.
A single-flowered Yamabuki will bear fruit, but a double-flowered will not. That is because all stamens have turned into petals.

春一番 "haruichiban"

春一番とは、春になって初めて吹く、南よりの強い風を意味しますが、同じ名前の植物があるのですね。

"春一番; Haruichiban" means "first gale of spring", but I learned there is plant with the same name.

暖冬 unusually warm winter

今年はまれに見る暖冬のため、田んぼが凍りません。

葉がすべて落ちドライフラワーのようになったアジサイです。
冬に咲く紫陽花があると聞きましたが、まだ見たことはありません。

I heard there is a hydrangea that blooms in winter, but I haven't seen it yet.

倒れた梅の木の幹から、株立ちのように沢山の枝が空に向かって伸びています。枝の先には赤いつぼみが膨らんでいます。どのような意思が働き、このような命をつなぐ仕組みが機能するのでしょうか。

From the trunk of the fallen plum tree, the bunch of the branches have grown toward the sky.
Red buds have swelled at the tip of the branches.
