梅の木 plum trees

　傍らに剪定された枝が積み上げられていました。梅の枝は想像より堅くて良い工作材料になりそうです。

　There were pruned branches piled up there. The plum branches were harder than I had imagined. It seems to be a good material.

仏の座(ホトケノザ) henbit

　小さい花なのでそれほど目立ちませんが、畑の畦に沢山咲いていました。

　It's a small flower, so it's not so conspicuous, but it was in full bloom on the ridges of the field.

クリスマスローズ hellebore

　夕日を背負ったクリスマスローズです。

　It is a hellebore carrying the sunset.

赤い枝 red branch

　落葉したイロハモミジの枝が、随分赤い色です。こんなに赤かったかなぁ。

　The branches of Japanese maple with no leaves are quite red in color. I don't remember they were so red.

クロッカス crocus

　今日は、昨日まで打って変わって暖かくなり、6弁の花は大きく開きました。

　Today it has changed completely warmer than before, and the six-petal flowers have opened wide.

紅葉カルーナ Calluna vugaris

　紅葉カルーナに小さな白い花が咲きました。

　A small white flower has bloomed on a Calluna vugaris.

節分草(セツブンソウ) winter aconite

　花弁に見えるのは花弁状の萼片です。では花弁はどこにあるのでしょうか。Y字形に分裂し先端が黄色いのが花弁です。とても花弁とは思えませんね。

　セツブンソウは、トリカブトと同じキンポウゲ科の植物で有毒です。

　Those which look like petals are petal-shaped calyxes. Well where are the petals? The petal is divided into Y-shapes and the tips are yellow. It is hard to recognize it as a petal.

　Winter aconite is a plant of the family Ranunculaceae, which is the same as aconite and is toxic.
