ミツバツツジ Rhododendron dilatatum

　蕾の先に残った芽鱗は帽子のようです。葉より花が先行しますが、写真の中央にミツバ葉を見ることができます。

　The bud scales left on the tips of the buds are like caps. The flowering precedes the leaves, but in the center of the photo you can see a leaf, consisting of three leaves.

連翹(レンギョウ) forsythia

　黄色と緑色の対比が鮮やかです。

　The contrast between yellow and green is striking.

風信子(ヒヤシンス) hyacinth

　花はラッパ形で、先端は６つに反り返って分かれたリボン状です。ラッパ型の花の多くは釣り鐘のように下向きですが、ヒヤシンスは元気よく横を向いています。

　The flower is a trumpet-shaped with a split end in six curved ribbon shapes. Many of the trumpet-shaped flowers are pointing downwards like a hanging bell, but hyacinths are cheerfully facing horizontal direction.

紅唐子(ベニカラコ) deep red camellia

　雄しべが花弁に変形した咲き方を唐子咲きと言います。
　枯れて変色を始める部分が金色にも見えるので、落ちてもなお魅力があります。緑の苔に散った光景は格別です。

　The way of flowering in which the stamens was transformed into petals is called "唐子咲き;Karako-saki". The part that withers and begins to discolor looks like gold, and even if the flower falls, it is still attractive. The sight of the flowers scattered on the green moss is exceptional.

木瓜(ボケ) flowering quince

　緋紅と白に紅の入ったボケの花2点です。ボケの果実酒もあるそうですが、見たことも飲んだこともありません。

　These are two flowering quince. One is scarlet and the other is white with a partial tint in rose. Someone said that there is also a fruit wine of flowering quince, but I have never seen or drunk it.

染井吉野(ソメイヨシノ) yoshino cherry tree

　風が吹く度に、花びらが吹雪のように舞っていました。

　Every time the wind blew, the petals danced in the air like a snowstorm.

ムラサキハナナ（紫花菜）Chinese violet cress

　最近、河原や空き地のあちこちで、自生のムラサキハナナを見かけます。強健な一年草です。

　Recently, I see wild Chinese violet cress here and there along river banks and vacant lands. It is a strong annual grass.
