セツブンソウ Pinnatifida

セツブンソウは、日本の固有種です。最近は、その数を減らし環境省のレッドデータブックに、絶滅危惧種として登録されています。

"Pinnatifida" is a Japanese endemic species. Recently, the number has been reduced and registered as an endangered species in the Red Data Book of the Ministry of the Environment.

愛犬と散歩する雛かざりがあるとは知りませんでした。

I didn't know that there was such a traditional doll celebrating Japanese girls' festival. The doll is taking a walk with her dog.

クリスマスローズ hellebore

クリスマスローズには、沢山の種類があります。日本では、細かく分類していないので、ヘレボラス属の植物はなんでもクリスマスローズと呼ばれます。

There are many types of "Christmas roses, Hellebore" in Japan. All Hellebore family is simply called "Hellebore" in my country, because we do not classify them precisely.

大島紬 oshima pongee

大島紬は、手で紡いだ絹糸を染めて、手織りで作られた布です。

"Oshima pongee" is a handloom fabric made from silk thread which was spun by hand and dyed.

打掛 uchikake

背中の模様が豪華です。

"Uchikake" means women's bridal robe with trailing skirts worn over a kimono. The design of the back is especially gorgeous.

振袖 Furisode

若い女性が着る和服です。袖丈の長いほうが格式があると言われています。

"Frisode" means a long -sleeve kimono, "Japanese clothe."
It is a kimono that a young lady wears. It is said that a kimono which has long sleeves is more formality.

内裏雛 dairi bina

天皇と皇后の結婚式を模したお人形です。

”Dairi Bina”is a pair of dolls in imitation of the wedding ceremony of the Emperor and the empress.
