ムクゲ hibiscus syriacus

これは、たぶん八重咲きのムクゲと思われます。ムクゲとタチアオイとを、花だけ見るとよく似ているので、私には区別ができません。

This flower seems to be a double flowered hibiscus syriacus.
Flowers of hibiscus syriacus and Althaea rosea are very similar. When I see only flowers, can't distinguish them.

夏空 summer sky

梅雨もすでに明け、空はすっかり夏の様相です。

The rainy season is over, and aspect of the sky has been already like summer.

何故か葉が赤く縁取りされています。

I don't know the reasen why the leaves are edged with red color.

仏手柑(ブッシュカン) Buddha's hand

ミカン科の植物だけあって、握りしめた拳の肌は、ミカンのそれに似ています。

As it is classified as citrus fruits, the skin of the fist is similar to mandarin oranges.

キキョウ balloon flower

キキョウは、東アジアに広く分布する植物ですが、日本では、野生種を見かけることはありません。八重咲きより一重咲きのほうが、より清楚な感じがします。

A balloonflower is a plant widely distributed in East Asia, but in Japan we do not see wild species. A single flower of that looks neater and cleaner than a double flower.

ナツズイセン lycoris squamigera

花が咲く頃には、葉が枯れてもうありません。そのため、ハダカユリと呼ばれることもあります。光合成しなくても栄養は足りるのでしょうか。

By the time the flowers bloom, the leaves are dead and disappeared. So, they are also sometimes referred to as naked ladies. I wonder if the nutrition is sufficient without photosynthesis.
