シロバナマンジュシャゲ Lycoris albiflora

白い彼岸花の正式名称は、シロバナマンジュシャゲです。
近頃、白い色をした曼珠沙華を東京でもよく見るようになりました。もともと、九州では多かったようです。気候が温暖化した影響か、人工的な原因があるのでしょうか。

ところで、白い彼岸花は、朱色の彼岸花と黄色い彼岸花との"交配"でできたと聞きますが、朱色の彼岸花に関していうと、三倍体植物で不稔性のはずなんです・・・。

真相は、こんなことのようです。日本の彼岸花は三倍体植物ですが、中国には二倍体の彼岸花もあるそうなんです。白い彼岸花は中国で生まれた。そうだとすれば、白い彼岸花は種を結ぶのでしょうか。

ランタナ(七変化) lantana

徐々に花の色が変化するといわれていますが、一期一会の出会いなので、その変化の様を、見たことがありません。

使用している、キーボードの調子が悪く、"u"ボタンの反応が悪く頻繁に抜けます。早急に交換しなければ。

彼岸花 cluster amaryllis

彼岸花は花が咲くのに種子ができません。でも、球根が分裂して増えるので、いつも群生して生えています。

ホオズキ Chinese lantern plant

ホオズキの実を見るとトマトに似ています。ホオズキは、トマトと同じナス科の植物です。花の咲いた後に萼（がく）が発達して実を包み、熟すと朱色に変わり、その後、色が抜けて脈だけになります。金細工のようになった抜け殻には、趣があります。

変わった実がついた大きな木があると、友人に教えられ見に行きました。バナナが集合したような実が沢山ついています。香りはありません。これだけ特徴がある木ですが、見るのは初めてです。名前はインターネットの検索掲示板から教えていただきました。
