多層 multi layer

　多層に重なる画像、音楽における多重録音は、ダイナミックかつ荘厳な雰囲気を表現できることがあります。この写真では、その説得力はありません。

　Multi-layered transparent images and also overdubbed music could create a dynamic and solemn atmosphere. In this picture, it's unconvincing.

真紅にならない doesn't turn crimson

　この木は近くに住む人の間では、真紅に紅葉する楓として知られていますが、近年は赤みが少なくなってきたようです。

　This tree is known as a maple that turns crimson among those living nearby, but it appears that the redness has decreased in recent years.

絨毯 carpet

　イチョウとイロハカエデの葉の絨毯です。イチョウは黄色いままですが、イロハカエデの赤はくすんでいます。

　Leaves of ginkgo and Japanese maple made a carpet.  The ginkgo remains yellow, but the red of the Japanese maple is dull.

斜光 oblique rays

　早朝、斜光に照らされ、イロハモミジが輝いていました。

　Early in the morning, the Japanese maple was shining in the oblique  rays of the winter sun.

目の錯覚 visual illusion

　中央の慰霊碑の構造体が、透明体のように見えませんか。私だけの目の錯覚かも知れません。

　Doesn't the structure of the central memorial look as if it were a transparent body? It may be an visual illusion only for me.

いろは紅葉(イロハモミジ) Japanese maple

　きれいに紅葉するには、昼と夜の寒暖の差が大きく、風通しが良いことが条件と聞きました。

　I heard that for the leaves to turn beautifully into autumn hues, the temperature difference between day and night is large and the leaves are well aerated.

四季桜(シキザクラ) four-season cherry

　四季に咲くと言う名前ですが、実際は春と秋の2回咲きます。花は小さいですが、春のほうが多少は大きいようです。

　It is said to bloom in four seasons, but it blooms twice in spring and fall. The flowers are intrinsically small, but the spring flowers are somewhat larger.
