そろそろサフランモドキの花の見頃は終了です。きれいに咲いているのを選んで写真に撮りました。
サフランモドキは、ヒガンバナ科ですので、ヒガンバナと同様に有毒物質を含みます。特に鱗茎に強い毒性があります。それはさておき、名前にモドキがつくとなんだか、だましのイメージが感じられます。お気の毒な名前です。
