モミジルコウ cardinal climber

　モミジルコウは、ツル性の一年草です。見上げるまでに高く成長し、トランペット型の赤い花を夏から秋にかけて咲かせます。その姿は頂上を目指す登山者を連想させます。

　Cardinal climber is an annual vine. The height of the plant is so high that you need to look up to see the top, and its trumpet-shaped red flowers bloom from summer to autumn. The appearance reminds me of a mountain climber climbing towards the summit.

オリーブ olive

　我が家に帰り、台所のエクストラバージンオイル裏面の小さなラベルを見てびっくりしました。てっきりエクストラバージンオイルだと思っていましたが、実は菜種オイルで、エクストラバージンオイルが30%調合されているものでした。如何にもエクストラバージンオイルの雰囲気たっぷりのラベルで、しかも安かったので購入したのでしょう。これからはしっかりチェックして買おうと思います。
　とは言っても、私には味の違いが分からないので、何を買っても同じかもしれません。身も蓋もないお話でした。

　When I arrived home, I was astonished to see the tiny label on the back of the extra virgin olive oil bottle in my kitchen. I assumed it was extra virgin olive oil, but it was actually canola oil with only 30% extra virgin olive oil mixed in. The label has the atmosphere of extra virgin olive oil, and it may be cheaper, so that's probably why I bought it. I will make sure to check the label of oil carefully before buying it from now on. 
　To be honest and bravery, I can't tell the difference in taste, so it's probably dose n't matter what I buy.

石榴(ザクロ) pomegranate

　厚くて硬い皮に覆われた内部には、赤い宝石のように輝く、種を取り巻く果肉が沢山詰まっています。とても美味しそうに見えるので、子供の頃に食べたことがあります。甘味は少なく、酸っぱくて、面倒な種があるので、私の好みではありません。
　皮には有毒物質が含まれているので、決して噛んで剥いてはいけません。

　Covered with a thick and hard skin, the inside is filled with a lot of flesh surrounding the seeds, which shine like red jewels. It looks delicious and I remember eating it once of twice as a child. I don't like it because it's not very sweet, strong sour, and has troublesome seeds, but it's my personal preference. 
　The skin contains poisonous substances, so you should never bite it off.
