バラとエンジンブロア Rose & Engine Blower

この庭園では、散った花びらの掃除をするため、彼らはエンジンブロアで吹き飛ばします。そのため、巻き上げられる細かい砂は、花びらに付着します。雨は、簡単にはその粒を洗い流せません。マクロ撮影をすると、ゴミが明瞭に写るので、残念な結果になります。
掃き清めるという文化は無くなってしまいました。

They blow off fallen petals with the use of an engine blower to clean the ground. Therefore the particles of sand are stirred up and attach to petals. The rain cannot easily wash the particles away from petals.  In this situation, we can see particles on the petals clearly on a macro-photography. So I am always discouraged.
The culture of sweep and spiritual cleansing had gone away.

アルテミス Artemis

花がぎゅっと密集して咲くつるバラです。その凝縮感にエネルギーを感じます。それもそのはず、アルテミスは、神話に登場する狩猟の女神です。

Artemis is a climbing rose which bears its flowers in clusters. So I feel condensed energy on this flower. That's because Artemis is a goddess of the hunting in the mythical world.

モリアオガエル Forest green tree frog

この辺りは、モリアオガエルの生息地です。
隣接する杉林が大規模に伐採されたので、カエルのことが気になっていました。
今回行ってみると、池に覆いかぶさる枝に産み付けられた卵を、確認することができました。

The forest green tree frogs inhabit and spawn around here.
A large amount of cedar trees adjacent to the pond were cut down. So I have worried about if the frogs still alive.
But now, I can see some frog spawns sticking to the branches which cover the pond.

スイートアフトン Sweet Afton

揮発性を感じる独特の香り良いバラです。始めは純白ですが、次第にピンクが入ってきます。名前は、アイルランドのアフトン川に由来しまが、花はアメリカで作られました。

This rose has a unique good fragrance which smells like volatile aromatic substance.  At the beginning, its color is snow-white, but gradually tainted with pale pink. This flower has the atmosphere.
The origin of the name comes from Afton river in Scotland. Afton river is in Scotland, but this flower was developed in the United States.

ショッキング・ブルー Shocking Blue

名前はショッキングブルーですが、花の色は赤紫です。ブルーのバラを作りたいという園芸家の思いが、名前から伝わってきます。
花の色は時間がたつにつれ、どんどん薄くなります。

The color of the flower named shocking blue is magenta.
The name tells us seeker's passion to make a blue flower.
The color of the flower becomes lighter with the lapse of time.

コゲラ Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker

鳴き声がしきりにするので、見上げたら手の届くほど低い枝に、一匹の幼鳥がいました。この鳥はコゲラだと思います。見回しても親鳥は見当たりません。
しばらくして、地面にシマヘビがだらしなく伸びていました。胴体の一部が異常に膨らんでいるので、何か獲物を食べた直後のようです。親鳥が捕食されたのでなければ、よいのですが。

I heard a continuing cry of an infant bird. Looking up, I found one young bird on a low branch which my hand seemed to reach. There was not a parent bird around there.
A little later, I found a snake was lengthening its swollen body on the ground. It seemed that the snake have eaten some game a short time ago. I wished the parent bird had been not preyed on.
