セブンスヘブン Seventh Heaven

同じ黒薔薇のパパメイアンのそばで咲いています。花の色はこちらが、少しマゼンダに寄って軽く感じます。香りも同じダマスク系ですが、それぞれ少し違います。比較しながら見るのも楽しいものです。

It blooms beside Papa Meilland, these are both black roses. The color of Seventh Heaven include magenta slightly than that. So this looks like more light weight flower.
These two flowers have same damask fragrance, but each has own character.
It is fun to watch flowers in comparison with each.

 

 

 

ジャンドルメソン Jean d'Ormesson

久しぶりにバラ園を訪れました。いくつかの花が咲いてましたが、生憎の雨であまり香りを楽しむことはできませんでした。

I visited the rose garden after a long absence. Some flowers still bloomed, but I could not enjoy fragrance of the flowers, because of rain.

柄より色的に豹紋でしょうか。

In Japan, it is called the butterfly of the leopard pattern.
It resembles a leopard rather in color instead of the pattern.

It bloomed alone in a edge of fallow.

米軍基地の隣にある病院内に掲示された英語の注意書きです。ちょっと変ですね。
私の英文も同様に変ですが・・・　お互い様ですね。

This is an English instruction posted in the hospital next to the US base. I think this sentence is wrong. But my English sentence is strange too. We’re both to blame.

人魚のノブ mermaid-shaped knob

ある喫茶店の人魚の形をしたドアノブです。お腹と足ひれを突き出したほうが造形的にはもっと面白くなると思います。でも、実用的にはこの方がよいでしょう。
恐れ多くも、有名な芸術家の作品にコメントを付けてしまいました。

This is a mermaid-shaped door knob of a coffee shop. I think that it will be more interesting artistically to protrude both abdomen and flipper. But practically it is good to leave it as it is.
I commented to the work of the well known artist with all due respect.

アンジェラ Angela

香りは微香ですが、花がこぼれんばかりに咲き、とても豪華に見えるつるバラです。雄しべが直ぐに黒くなってくるので、遠目で鑑賞するのがよいです。

Angela is climbing rose which does not have strong fragrances, but has many small flowers. So it looks very luxury. The color of stamens turns black in a while, so we had better appreciate this rose with a long distance.
