ジャストジョーイの新芽 sprout of Just Joey

新芽が伸び始めました。新芽の頃は、紫外線から身を守るため赤色をしています。

カルーナ ブルガリス Calluna vulgaris

ツツジ科に属するカルーナ・ブルガリスだと思います。一鉢380円で売られています。

I think this plant is "calluna vulgaris", it belongs to ericaceae. It is sold at 380yen per bowl.

福寿草 amur adonis

花びらの裏側にはこげ茶色の筋が見えます。福寿草の特徴ですが、葉脈のなごりなのでしょうか。

There are dark brown stripes in the back of the petal. It is a characteristic of an Amur adonis, I wonder if it is the trace of the vein.

ヒメリュウキンカ lesser celandine

光をすくいとるように咲いていました。

It bloomed as if it scooped the sunlight into the flower.

クロッカスの中で inside of crocus

雄しべと雌しべが会話しているように見えました。

オスプレイ OSPREY

先日、我が家の近くの基地にオスプレイが配備されました。見るからに、複雑な機構をもつ飛行機です。
オスプレイとは、本来、猛禽類の「ミサゴ」ですが、機体の垂直尾翼にはなぜか、「竜」と書いてありました。

Five MV-22B OSPREY were deployed in the air base near my house the other day. Just one glance tells you that the plane has a very complicated system.
Normally an "osprey" means a birds of prey. I don't know the reason why they write "竜（dragon）" on a vertical tail.
