スコリア scoria
噴火口付近に散らばっている小石(岩滓 がんさい)です。多孔質ですが、軽石ほど軽くはありません。表面が凸凹しているためか、じっと見ていると動物に見えてくるものも少なくありません。

富士山ご来光 sunrise viewed from Mt. Fuji
前日は曇りでしたが、幸運にもご来光を見ることができました。
下山の途中から、濃い霧が発生し、10m先も見なくなりました。
山の天気は、ころころ変わります。
It was cloudy yesterday, but I was able to see the sunrise luckily from the summit of Mt. Fuji.
In the middle of my descent from the peak, thick fog was generated, so I was not able to look at 10m ahead.
The weather is quite changeable in the high mountain.

むかご aerial tuber
オニユリの葉の付け根に黒いムカゴが沢山生っています。昔は、このムカゴを食用にしたそうですが、色が濃いからあるいは、花の名前が恐いからか、食べる気にはなりません。
A lot of black aerial tubers grew at the root of leaves of tiger lilies. I heard that the people of former days ate these aerial tubers. However I don't feel like eating it, probably because of the color or the beast flower name.

耐踏み抜き性 penetration resistance of the sole
何の抵抗感もなく、砂利の中に立っていた釘が、サンダルを突き抜け足に突き刺さりました。安価で軽便なプラスチックサンダルに潜む危険を思い知りました。
I didn't feel any resistance, but the nail which stood in gravel went through a shoe sole and stuck in my foot. I learned that the convenient cheap plastic sandals have the pitfall.

芳香漂う斜面で暑さも忘れ撮影しました。
