初めて見る昆虫 insect to watch for the first time

頑丈そうな外骨格を持つ昆虫を見つけました。口の形を見ると、捕食動物のようです。
70万種を超える昆虫の種類が確認されているそうで、この多さには驚きです。

I found an insect having the external skeleton which seemed to be firm. Judging from the structure of the mouth, this insect is maybe a predator.
It has been confirmed that there is the kind of the insect more than 700 thousand kinds. I am amazed to this great number.

蝶の求愛 courtship of the butterfly

二匹の蝶が、くっついたり離れたりするのを、繰り返しています。片方の蝶は、お腹を突き立てているので、多分求愛を拒否しているのだと思います。

アブラゼミ large brown cicada

アブラゼミは、日本の広範囲で多数生息していましたが、最近は随分個体数が減ってきました。すべての翅は、不透明の褐色です。翅が不透明の蝉は、世界的にも珍しいそうです。
レンズの先端から蝉までの距離は5cm程まで近づきましたが、暫くの間逃げることもなくじっとしていました。

A lot of large brown cicadas inhabited widely in Japan, but populations decreased very much recently. All feathers are brown of the opacity. The cicada having opaque wings seems to be rare worldwide.
The distance from the front edge of the lens to a cicada was approximately 5cm, but the cicada kept still for a while.

猿滑 crape-myrtle

よく見ると、ガクのフチから細い花柄が伸びて、その先に縮れた花が咲いています。

Taking a closer look, I see some flower stalks lengthen from the edge of the calyx, and each flower stalk has a curled flower at the heads.

古い樹皮が剥がれ落ちるので、幹は常に表面がツルツルしています。

Because the old bark falls away, the surface of the trunk is always slick.

久しぶりの晴れ間 sunshine during the rain

ずっと雨続きの毎日。青空は見えませんでしたが、久しぶりに日が射しました。

The rainy days continued. I was not able to see blue sky, but sunlight brightened the grove after so long.

スコリア scoria

噴火口付近に散らばっている小石(岩滓 がんさい)です。多孔質ですが、軽石ほど軽くはありません。表面が凸凹しているためか、じっと見ていると動物に見えてくるものも少なくありません。

They are scoriae scattered near the crater. They are porous body, but are not light as a pumice stone. There are a lot of scoriae which look like an animal, because the surface is uneven.

富士山ご来光 sunrise viewed from Mt. Fuji

前日は曇りでしたが、幸運にもご来光を見ることができました。
下山の途中から、濃い霧が発生し、10m先も見なくなりました。
山の天気は、ころころ変わります。

It was cloudy yesterday, but I was able to see the sunrise luckily from the summit of Mt. Fuji.
In the middle of my descent from the peak, thick fog was generated, so I was not able to look at 10m ahead.
The weather is quite changeable in the high mountain.
