陽光の中で in the sunlight

何ということのない風景ですが、今日は陽光の中、気持ちのよい散策ができました。幸せとは、そんなものかも。

It's a scenery without any character, but I took a pleasant walk in the sunlight today. Happiness may be like that.

干し柿 dried persimmon

熟し過ぎのものですが、大きな渋柿を入手できたので、干し柿を作ってみました。でき上がりは、市販品とは異なり、中がジューシーです。噛むと中身が垂れ落ちてきます。熟し過ぎの柿を使ったのが原因と思われまがとてもおいしいです。

I got big sour persimmons which became over-ripe, and I made those dried. The finished cakes are succulent inside, unlike commercial products. When I bite it, the center drip off. It seems to be caused by using over-ripe fruit, but it is very delicious.

モミジの写真の掲載が続いているので、今日はイチョウの葉です。ちらほら、イロハモミジの葉も混じっていますが、小さいですね。

I've been posting maple photos these days, so today's photo are gingko leaves. There ara a few leaves of Japanese maple among gingko leaves, but those are tiny.

色の変化 change of color

緑色の色素は、日光をよく吸収します。寒くなると、光合成の働きも衰え、過度の光の吸収はかえって害になるので、緑の色素は分解されていきます。一方、光をさえぎる赤色の色素であるアントシアニンが作られるようになり葉を守ります。
紅葉の色の変化の裏では、巧妙なからくりの化学変化がおきているのですね。

The green pigment absorbs sunlight well. When it gets colder, the photosynthetic function also declines, and excessive light absorption is rather harmful, so the green pigment is decomposed. On the other hand, the red pigment anthocyanins is made and it  blocks the sunlight and protects the leaves.
Behind the changes in the colors of autumn leaves, there is a ingenious chemical mechanism.

怪しい木 suspicious tree

今にも泣き出しそうな空模様、柿の木は怪しく枝を張っています。

It's about to rain, judging from the look of the sky. Persimmon trees are spreading their branches suspiciously.

明るいレンズ high speed lens

明るいレンズは、ピント面が浅いので、人間の目と異なる世界が見えます。常識を取り払えば、新しい世界が開けるかもしれません。

A bright lens has a shallow focus, so we can see a different world from the ordinary. If we could remove common sense from usual day, a new world might be open.

モミジが覆い尽くす covered with maple

空が明るいので、人間の目にはモミジは黒くしか見えません。その点、カメラは露出補正ができるので、その色を見ることができます。
人間も、意識した部分に、脳内で露出を合わせができたらよいのですが。

Maples look just black to human eyes, because of the sky is bright. In that matter, the camera can adjust the exposure so we can see the color.
It would be nice for human if the brain could adjust automatically the exposure to the conscious part.
