ヒアシンス hyacinth

　私が始めて見たヒアシンスは、上部に球根を乗せるくびれがある、透明ガラス容器で水耕栽培されていたものでした。そのイメージが刷り込まれてしまって、根の見えない露地植えのヒアシンスには、しっくりきません。

　The first hyacinth I saw was hydroponically grown in a clear glass container with a constriction to put the bulbs on top. The image was imprinted on me,  therefore it does not seem quite right to me that the hyacinth growing in the ground without visible roots.

落花 falling flower

　アジサイの茎に串刺しになったのか噛み付いたのか、椿の花。

　I'm not sure if the camellia flower was skewered by the hydrangea stem or if it bit the stem.

何だこれは what on Earth is this

道端に生える、この白いもやしのようなものはなんでしょう。葉緑素を持っていないようなので、菌類から栄養を吸い取る腐生植物でしょうか。

　What is this white stuff like bean sprout on the roadside? I wonder if it's a saprophytic plant that takes nutrients out of fungi, because it doesn't seem to have chlorophyll.

諸葛菜 (ショカツサイ) violet orychophragmus

　小川の縁に咲いていました。以前、海岸の砂浜でも見かけましたので、塩にも耐性があるのでしょう。

　It bloomed by a brook. I saw it on the sandy beach of the coast before, so I think it is a plant that is resistant to salt damage. 

花びらの絨毯 petal aisle

　時折、風が吹き花びらが舞っています。

　Occasionally the wind blows and the petals are fluttering.

土手の桜並木 cherry blossoms lined along the river

　土手の桜は、人との共存のため枝や幹が切られたり、花見客に地面を踏み固められたりと、桜にとっては、あまり良い状況ではありません。

　The cherry blossoms on the bank are not in good condition, because their branches and trunks are cut for coexistence with people or the ground is treaded by viewers.

染井吉野(ソメイヨシノ) somei-yoshino

　蕾はピンク色ですが、咲いた花びらは白色です。

　The buds are pink, but the flower petals are white.
