ツツジが見頃 azaleas are in full bloom

今日は夏のように暑かったけれど、風が吹いて気持ちのよい日でした。

It was hot like summer but we have a nice breeze today.

御衣黄発見 happen to find gyoikou trees

全国で、御衣黄を見られるのは100ケ所程といわれています。
幸運にも、2本の大きな御衣黄の木を見つけました。
見頃は少し過ぎているので、来年に期待です。

They say there are only about a hundred places where we can see gyoiko trees in Japan.
It was very lucky that I happened to find two big gyoikou trees in the same spot near my house.
The blossoms were already past their peak. I might be able to enjoy the full-bloom next year.

桜と荷車 cherry blossoms and an old wagon

ここは、造り酒屋の裏庭です。
昔は、この荷車でお酒を運んだのでしょうか。

Here is a back garden at a brewery.
I suppose this wagon was used to carry liquor which was made here in the past times.

囲炉裏 fireplace

囲炉裏端でお茶をごちそうになりました。炎や蒸気のゆらぎは、人の心を和やかにしてくれます。

I was served a cup of tea beside a "irori fireplace". There were some fluctuations made by fire, steam, air and so on. I was soak up the atmosphere.

風よ吹け waiting for the wind to swim in the air

鯉のぼりが見られる時期になりました。

It's time to see "koinobori" here and there.
"Koinobori" is a cloth streamer in the shape of a carp which is flown on a tall pole. We rise Koinobori on the Boys festival (May 5), with the hope of boys will grow up strong like a carp and spiritually rich.
