ノイバラ Japanese rose

藪の中で痛い目にあわされることもある、野生のノイバラです。

It is a wild Japanese rose that occasionally hurts me in the bushes.

なまり色の空 lead-colored sky

今日は、桜を見るには生憎の曇りでした。

コブシ Kobushi magnolia

コブシの花はあまり長持ちしません。直ぐに、柔らかな質感のある花弁が茶色く変色します。

Flowers of Kobushi magnolias do not last long. The petals with a soft texture turn brown fast.

ウグイスカグラ Lonicera gracilipes

うっかり通り過ぎてしまいそうな、目立たない小さな花です。

We likely to pass through without noticing it, because it is a small flower.

江戸彼岸 edohigan

江戸彼岸（エドヒガン）は、染井吉野（ソメイヨシノ）より一週間程早く咲き始めます。江戸彼岸は、野生種です。オオシマザクラと交配することにより、染井吉野が作出されました。

Edohigans begin to bloom about a week earlier than Someiyoshinos. Edohigans are wild species. Someiyoshinos were created by cross-fertilization a edohigan and an oshima cherry.

紅葉の稚児芽 maple sprout

紅葉の新芽です。普段あまり気に留めることはありませんね。

These are sprouts of maple. We are not usually conscious of these sprouts.

枝垂れ桜 weeping cherry tree

枝垂れ桜は、weeping cherry tree、枝垂柳は、weeping willowと英訳されます。私のイメージでは、drooping または hanging down です。でも、weepingの方が、情緒的ですね。

Cherry tree with hanging down branches is translated as weeping cherry tree, and willow with same branches is translated as weeping willow. In my image weeping is drooping or hanging down. But weeping is more emotional.
