大型ショッピングモールで看板の写真を写していると、陽気なお嬢さんたちから、撮って撮ってと声をかけられました。
一方、モール内の両替所ではびっくりすることもありました。両替所に入ろうとすると、ガードマンに阻止されました。彼は、中国人の両替商が直ぐに来るからここで待てといいます。どういうことでしょう。すると、長身の中国人男性が現れ、よいレートで交換するといいます。小さな携帯でレートを表示しました。彼は日本語が話せません。
そうこうするうち、別の中国人と思われる女性が現れました。彼女は日本語で話かけてきます。日本人が好きな私のお友達が両替をやっている、云々。
結局、両者にお断りして、ショッピングを続けると、お土産物屋に両替コーナーがありました。レートは先ほどの男性より良いではありませんか。女性の提示レートよりは悪いですが、ここで両替をしました。
When I was taking photos of a signboard at a large shopping mall, just then cheerful young girls came along and said to me "please take our photo."
On the other hand, at front of currency exchange bureau in the mall, I had an experience of my being surprised.
When I was going to enter the currency exchange bureau, I was obstructed by a security guard. He said to me "wait here because a Chinese money changer comes soon." What does it mean?
Then a tall Chinese man appeared, and he said "I change your money at a good rate." He display the rate by a small mobile phone. He cannot speak Japanese.
Another woman thought to be a Chinese appeared this time. She talks to me in Japanese. "My friend who like Japanese exchanges money." And so on.
After all I refused both proposal, and continued shopping. I found an exchange counter in a souvenir shop. The rate was better than the man's presentation rate. And it was worse than the rate of the woman, but I exchanged money here.
