つる・マリア・カラス Cl.Maria Callas

このバラ園には、人の名前がつけられたバラが幾つかあります。
マリア・カラスは、バリアの向こうに咲いているので、その香りを嗅ぐことができません。クイーン・エリザベス、カトリーヌ・ドヌーブ、ビクトル・ユーゴなども同様に、近づけない場所に植えられています。このバラ園では、プリンセス・ミチコとシャルル・ドゴールの二つが香りを楽しめるバラです。

今日は雨が降っているので、誰もいないと思って出かけましたが、すでにバラの写真を撮っている人がひとりいました。

Some of the roses in this rose garden have the name of the person. Maria Callas blooms in the other side of the barrier, so we can not smell its fragrance. Queen Elizabeth, Catherine Deneuve, Victor Hugo were planted in the place where we cannot approach also. In this rose garden, we can enjoy two fragrances of princess Michiko and Charles de Gaulle.

It's raining today, so I thought that there was no one in this garden. But there was already the person taking photos of roses.

アルテミスの香り fragrance of Artemis

このバラは、アニスの香りがするといわれますが、私の鼻は効かないのか良くわかりません。

They say this rose has fragrance of anise. Probably because my nose is not good, I can't smell it.

香りの分類 classification of fragrance

バラの香りは、7つに大別されると聞きました。どのような手法で分類したのでしょう。科学的に成分分析したのか、嗅ぎ分けたのかは知りませんが、難しかったと思います。香りを表現することでさえ難しいのに、よく分類できたと思います。

I heard that fragrances of roses were classified into seven. I don't know whether the researcher scented it out or analyzed ingredients, but I think that they had a hard time to classify the fragrance. Though it is difficult even to express a fragrance, I think they made a great achievement.

稲刈り実習 rice harvesting practices

自分たちで田植えした田圃で、こんどは稲刈りです。

少し早かった a little bit too early

今日はいつも行くバラ園で、ローズフェスティバルが開催されました。でも、バラの開花が見込みより遅く、満開は一週間程先になりそうです。

今日は早朝に出かけ、バラの香りを楽しみました。秋のバラは10時前後が一番香り高く、春は8時前後だそうです。

Today, a rose festival was held in the garden where I use to go. But the roses have not yet bloomed much, contrary to their expectation. The full bloom seems to be one week later.

I went to the garden in the morning and enjoyed the fragrance. The fragrance of a rose becomes strong around ten o'clock in autumn, and eight o'clock in spring.

農村歌舞伎 farmer's Kabuki

地元で農村歌舞伎が行われること知りました。農村歌舞伎は、素人が上演する歌舞伎です。歌舞伎を見るのは、今回始めてで、おひねりを投げる光景が私には新鮮でした。年配の方が多く来られており、おひねりを投げても半分くらいしか届きませんでした。


I heard that farmer's Kabuki will be held in my hometown. Farmer's Kabuki is a Kabuki which an amateur stages. This is my first time to see Kabuki in live. The view of the audiences throwing wrapped offering of money was fresh image to me. Most audience is aged people, so about half of wrapped offering didn't arrive at the stage.
