忘年会を楽しむ enjoying a year-end part

一人づつデジカメで撮影しました。でも、ご本人のスマホを使って、友人と一緒のところを撮った方が喜ばれるようです。

I photographed the participants one by one with my digital camera. But it seemed that they prefer to be photographed with their friends using with their own smartphone.

Many Japanese enjoy "a year-end party" with company colleagues or friends in December every year.  We share the hardships we experienced during the past year, and to prepare for the coming year with renewed resolve. This is the custom characteristic of Japan.

多くの花は既に茶色に変色していましたが、茂みに潜りいくつかの白い花を見つけることができました。

Many flowers had turned brown already, but I crawled into the bush and found some white flowers.

この山茶花は大胆に刈り込まれたので、今年は花をつけないと思っていましたが、みごとに咲きました。

This sasanqua was pruned boldly, so I had been thinking it would not flower in this season. But it bloomed wonderfully.

前ピン front-focus

先日、一眼レフカメラを購入しました。このカメラ、狙ったところより、随分手前にピントが合います。カメラに備わっている調整機能でも補正しきれません。ピントの問題は、一眼レフカメラの宿命です。

I purchased a digital single-lens reflex camera the other day. But this camera focused on just in front of the area I aimed at. I cannot correct this problem even if I use the adjustment function of this camera. The focus issue is the fate of the single-lens reflex camera.
