モズが何かをくわえた嘴を、枝の先に何度もこすりつけています。
この光景を、室内から見ていたのですが、しばらくすると、モズは飛び去って行きました。一日経って、そのことを思い出し庭に出てみると、小さなトカゲが枝の先に引っかかっていました。
モズは戻って来て、それを食べる様子もないようです。これは生贄なのでしょうか。
今日は、写真を掲載しません。
A shrike was rubbing its beak against the end of the twig many times. I was watching this scene from living room, after a while the shrike flew away. One day passed and I remembered it, so I went out in the garden. I found that a small lizard had been impaled on the end of the twig.
It does not seem that the shrike returns and eats it. Is this a sacrifice?
I don't post the photograph today.

夕暮れの皇帝ダリア emperor dahlia in evening
背が高い皇帝ダリアですが、傾斜地に生えているので水平位置で花を鑑賞することができます。

銀杏とモミジの共演 costarring of ginkgo and maple
手前にモミジ、奥が銀杏と重なって、圧巻の紅葉です。
There is a maple in the near side and there is a ginkgo in the rear. They make the best scenery of colored leaves beyond any doubt.

ツタの紅葉 maple leaves turn crimson
どの葉も同じ条件にあるように思われますが、それぞれ紅葉のスピードが異なるのが興味深いところです。

雨が沢山降ったせいか、紅葉の色づきがあまり良くなく、葉がどんどん散っていきます。

イノシシの悪戯 mischef of the wild boar
辺り一面を、イノシシが掘り返したあとがあるので、どうやら石仏を倒したのは、イノシシの仕業のようです。イノシシは、鼻で土を掘り返して、草の根やミミズなどを食べます。
倒れた石仏を起こそうとしましたが、重くてびくともしません。次回には、人の手を借りて、元通りにしようと思います。
It looked like the act of the wild boar to have knocked over the stone image of Buddha because there is the trace that a wild boar dug up all around. The wild boar digs up the soil with a nose and eats roots, earthworms and so forth.
I tried to raise the stone image that fell down, but it is heavy and does not move an inch. At the next opportunity, I'll get help from others and restore it.
