一升瓶 1 sho bottle

　日本酒が一升瓶で売られるようになったのは、1900年の初頭からです。最近は、日本酒の容器は、紙の箱や四合瓶や300ml瓶へ代わりつつあります。

　この日本酒を飲むのは初めてです。冷蔵庫から取り出してしばらくすると、瓶の表面に結露した水滴が、ラベルの紙に染み込んでいきました。ラベルの白い背景が次第に淡い水色の変わっていきました。そのように作られたラベルではありませんが、色が変わるのを眺めつつ、日本酒を楽しみました。

　Sake began to be sold in 1.8-liter glass bottles in the early 1900s. These days, sake containers are being replaced by paper boxes, 720ml or  300ml bottles.

　It is my first time to drink this sake. After taking the 1 sho bottle out of the refrigerator for a while, the water droplets that formed on the surface of the bottle were soaking into the label paper. The white background of the label gradually changed to pale blue. It's not a label made for this purpose, but I enjoyed sake while watching the color shift.
