赤紫のクズの花を取り囲んでセンニンソウの白い花が咲いています。どちらもつる性の植物です。ここは、周囲に木など生えていない河原なので、絡みつくものもなく、お互いががんじからめに絡み支え合っています。
センニンソウは、さわやかな甘い香りがするのですが、あいにく私は数か月前に嗅覚を失ってしまったので、香りを楽しむことができません。回復するにはしばらく時間がかかりそうです。
余談ですが、今は、日本酒を飲んでもちっとも美味しくありません。味覚と嗅覚は、切っても切れない絡み合った関係のようです。
