アワフキムシ spittle insect

アワフキムシは、草に宿ると思っていましたが、木の幹でも泡を吹いていました。樹液も吸えるのでしょうか？

I think that spittle insects dwell in only grass, but I saw they were ejecting froth on a trunk. I wonder if they can suck tree sap instead of grass sap.
